Find Your Place
Hey MFV family,
This past Sunday we looked together at one of the most important questions any follower of Jesus can ask: Where do I fit? Not just in church - but in God's story. You weren't made to fill a slot. There's a role only you can play.
If you missed it or want to revisit it, here's a quick look at what we covered - and more importantly, what you can do with it this week.
What makes you angry or sad? - That emotion often points toward your calling. It reveals what you care about most.
What seems obvious to you but invisible to others? - Your natural wiring makes some things effortless that others find hard.
What's been consistent and repeatable in your life? - Not a one-time thing, but a pattern. Lean into that.
Where have you seen the most fruit? - Not necessarily where you worked hardest, but where God moved most clearly through you.
Sit with the whole chapter slowly. Ask the Holy Spirit to highlight what resonates. Pay attention to what stirs something in you.
A good assessment won't tell you everything, but it can confirm what God is already showing you. We built one just for MFV - it takes about 5 minutes and matches your results to our serving teams.
Don't overthink it. Pick a team below that pulls at you even a little and say yes for just one month. You'll know more about your fit by doing than by deciding.
Gifts flourish in community. Whether it's a small group, Alpha, or The Way - don't try to figure this out alone. We were designed to grow together.
"Lord, show me where I fit. I'm available." That's it. Availability is the beginning of every calling.
Every one of these teams has room for someone with your exact wiring. If something below catches your attention - that's worth paying attention to.
Remember the servants at the wedding in Cana? They didn't preach. They filled jars. Unglamorous. Behind the scenes. Unnoticed by the crowd. But Jesus chose them to be part of his very first miracle.
That's what it means to find your place. Not a spotlight - a calling. Not obligation - faithfulness.
We're so glad you're part of this family. There is a place here for you that no one else can fill.
